Set in 1963, this profound work allows the audience to think about who in society goes unseen. We start by meeting Charlie, a photographer who is in love with Shirley Page, a fair skinned redhead who is the basis of all color balancing in the photography world. However, when Charlie begins to help his coworker, Gloria, a woman of color whose daughter has just disappeared, they struggle to find a photograph that is visible. Looks Like Pretty calls into question the limits of technology, as the pair explores light, beauty and color.
